- Henkelkelch m; auch Doppelhenkelkelch m; lat. calix ansatus: ein Kelch, an dessen Schale zwei oft weit ausschwingende Henkel angebracht sind. In aItchristIicher Zeit und im frühen Mittelalter war dies die bevorzugte Form des Messkelches, seit dem 13. Jh. und dem Wegfall der Kelchkommunion ist er jedoch außer Gebrauch.
